Information Express | EU REACH Appendix XVII Revises the Control Requirements of Silicone

On May 17th, 2024, the Official Gazette of the European Union (OJ) published the amendment (EU) 2024/1328 to REACH Regulation (EC) No.1907/2006, which mainly revised D4, D5 and D6 in Annex 17 of REACH, and came into effect on June 6th, 2024.

The specific amendments are as follows:

D4 and D6 are commonly used in polishes and waxes, washing and cleaning products, cosmetics and personal care products, and D5 is also used in textile processing products and dyes.
